Tom Macdonald has been singing in folk clubs and pubs round Ossett and Wakefield since the early seventies when the first Ossett Folk Club was formed by Andy Quinn.   There was a ten year gap in the eighties while working abroad, but caught up with the club again at the Brewers Pride early nineties. He now hosts the Ossett Singers Club every Thursday night and regularly at Fernades Tap and Grey Horse in Wakefield.   Tom likes the singarounds at the Girvan, Saltburn, Cleckheaton and Portpatrick festivals, hosting a singaround at the Wickham Arms during the Cleckheaton Festival, and has won several traditional singing competitions at Girvan, also the Fred Jordan Trophy at Saltburn.

Ossett Singers Club has a core group called the Concert Party who do odd gigs for a couple of care homes and Tom also sings in a trio with Ian and Elaine Wood called Seasoned Wood singing mostly traditional songs and tunes.
